Biography

Caroline Cestone Salvino was born and raised in Northeastern, PA.  Returning to the area in 2004 she now lives here full time with her son, Sam. Caroline's family still reside in the Scranton area.

Caroline has worked as a full time realtor specializing in finer homes and commercial sales throughout the Poconos and Scranton areas since 2005.  She began her career in real estate in 1985 as a commercial real estate appraiser in Miami, Florida, concentrating on the valuation of large commercial properties in the Southeast United States. During this time she achieved the prestigious designation of MAI. She then worked for nearly eight years as a Vice President at Citicorp Real Estate in Manhattan, where her primary responsibility was the valuation of their commercial real estate portfolio. In both jobs her clients included some of the nation’s largest real estate owners, developers, insurance companies, REITs and syndicates. Caroline was an active member of the Association of Real Estate Women (AREW) in New York City for over ten years, holding numerous officer and board positions. For two years she chaired the AREW Charitable Fund Board, the charitable arm of AREW, which provides scholarships in real estate and supports Women in Need (WIN) among other charitable projects. Caroline also sat on the board of directors of the New York Metropolitan Chapter of the Appraisal Institute.

Formal Education

Caroline received a BS degree from Lehigh University in 1983 and an MBA from the University of Miami in 1985.

Community Involvement

Caroline has been actively involved in the Buck Hill Falls community in various roles over the past 10 years including board member of the Buck Hill Falls Lot & Cottage Association , President of the Buck Hill Art Association, Co-chair of the Tennis Committee, Treasurer of the Buck Hill Community Services Committee and Chair of the Buck Hill Steering Committee for the Barrett Friendly Library Capital Campaign.  She is a past board member of the Barrett Paradise Friendly Library.
